This Privacy Policy explains how Sādhya AI (“Sādhya”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards your personal information when you use our website, mobile and web applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). Sādhya is an AI-powered farming companion that helps farmers with crop care, disease diagnosis, input advice, weather, and market (mandi) prices in multiple Indian languages.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

We collect the following categories of information:

a. Information you provide

• Account details — your mobile phone number, which we use to verify your identity through a one-time password (OTP). You may optionally provide your name, preferred language, location/village, and crop details.
• Chat content — the questions, messages, and voice inputs you send to our AI assistant.
• Images — photos of crops, leaves, soil, pests, or fields that you upload for diagnosis and advice.
• Feedback — ratings, survey responses, and any communication you send to our support team.

b. Information collected automatically

• Usage data — features used, sessions, advisories viewed, and interaction timestamps.
• Device & technical data — device type, operating system, browser, app version, language settings, and approximate IP-based location.
• Location — with your permission, your location (or village/region) to provide localized weather and mandi prices. You can decline or revoke this at any time.

We use your information to:

• Provide crop diagnosis, advisories, weather, and mandi price information.
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Personalize advice based on your crops, location, and season.
• Operate, maintain, debug, and improve the Services.
• Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
• Send service-related notifications and important updates.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

Your chat messages and uploaded images are processed by AI models to generate responses and diagnoses. Our AI assistants operate on a read-only basis — they can read information to help you, but they cannot modify your records. AI outputs are advisory in nature and should not replace professional agronomic, veterinary, financial, or legal advice. Always use your own judgement before acting on a recommendation.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:

• Service providers — trusted vendors who help us run the Services (for example, cloud hosting, SMS/OTP delivery, AI model providers, and analytics), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
• Tenant organizations — Sādhya is a multi-tenant platform. If you access the Services through a partner organization (such as an FPO, cooperative, agri-business, or government program), relevant information may be shared with that organization to provide and support the Services.
• Legal & safety — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, the public, or Sādhya.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and thereafter only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant data isolation — to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

• Access and request a copy of your personal data.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Withdraw consent (for example, location access), where processing is based on consent.
• Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
• Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (see below).

The Services are intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your information is primarily processed in India. Where information is processed or stored outside India by our service providers, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
